Girls' Reunion-- Kansas

So we met in Japan. Without the normal safety nets of living at home, in a place where you understand how to-- drive, buy things, eat-- normal things that make you feel like you have control of your life, we relied on each other and very quickly became a family. We wore each others clothes, slept on each other's couches, travelled the world together, talked endlessly, laughed 'til we cried, just plain ol' cried, fought, sang, danced, took a little village in Japan and the Officer's Club by storm. A true family. A family that bears all. My girls. Love you.

We spent a lot of the weekend by the pool. Jules captured this-- one of my favorite photos of Sy and I.

It's not very often that four women come together and complement each other the way we do, but this is magic and Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte have nothing on us. We met in Wichita, Kansas this year, Jules' hometown.

And Aunt Jules

Jules and her sister and her sister's baby, Chloe, who they occasionally call "Clover"-- too cute!

Auntie Goose and Riley Jane with Sy and I. Sy is used to his bath water and thinks the pool could use a little warming.

There were three babies on our trip. Notice Sy in the background throwing up.

video

This video is classic Aunt Pam. She is beautifully singing him Amazing Grace until it goes awry. It's a short video. Make sure sound is up.

CAN'T WAIT 'TIL NEXT YEAR, GIRLS!
